Athletic Physicals for 2025/2026 School Year

Dover Athletics is excited to announce that it will be hosting Two  In-House PIAA Sports Physicals Nights. The first one will be before this school year ends on Thursday, May 29th, and on Monday, July 28th, from 5 - 8 pm, in partnership with Wellspan Sports Medicine. The cost of the physical is $15.

PIAA regulations require that all students of the Dover Area School District who wish to participate in interscholastic athletics and cheerleading must receive a physical examination prior to their participation in practices or contests. For the 2025-2026 school year, the Dover Area School District will only be offering physicals on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and on Wednesday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Physicals will be held at Dover Area High School.

The PIAA CIPPE physical form is the only form that will be accepted at these physical dates. No learner's permits or other forms will be signed. Please fill out sections 1-5 before arriving. Athletes who are unable to attend physicals night at school, it will be your responsibility to contact your family doctor or an urgent care facility for the physical. Wellspan Sports Medicine at Apple Hill or any other Wellspan Urgent Care locations will perform a Physical for sports. The physical must be completed on the appropriate PIAA CIPPE six-page physical form. No other physical forms will be accepted and the physical must be done and dated by the physician on or after May 1, 2025. 
 
 
PLEASE NOTE:
1) No learner’s permits or other physician forms will be signed.
2) Please remember to bring contacts or glasses for the vision exam.
3) Only PIAA CIPPE physical forms are valid for use for Dover Athletics.  No other physicals forms will be accepted.
