Congratulations to Leib Elementary’s K’Nex STEM Team

Congratulations to Leib Elementary’s K’Nex STEM Team for winning the LIU’s regional K’Nex championship! The Environmental Eagles; Ani Lam, Garland Marshall, Mia Mitzel and Hunter Whetstone were tasked with solving the problem of creating an invention prototype that would help solve environmental problems. “The Pollution Preventer and Purifier”, or “The Triple P” focused on the air and water quality in developing nations. Their design converts pollution from factory smoke stacks to energy. The energy is then used to power a water purifier bringing clean water to the places that need it most. This team will be headed to the State finals in Harrisburg in May! Congratulations as well to their coaches Jeff Judy and John Marc Murphy.
