Nominations are now open for the 2025-2026 DASD Distinguished Alumni Program!
The Dover Area School District is proud to announce the opening of the 2025-2026 Distinguished Alumni Program nominations. This program recognizes alumni who have excelled in their professions and serve as outstanding role models for DASD students. Distinguished Alumni are selected by a committee of district officials, teachers, Dover Eagle Foundation representatives, and alumni based on the criteria below. All members of the DASD community, past and present, are encouraged to nominate outstanding individuals for this award.
Criteria for Distinguished Alumni:
- Individuals must be out of high school for at least ten years.
- Individuals must have earned professional/personal achievements or career/military service distinction. The recipient gained prominence in their field, documenting a significant accomplishment.
- Individuals must demonstrate service to the community and beyond. The recipient exhibits integrity and a demonstrated commitment to service through an interest in bettering the lives of others.
Distinguished Alumni will be recognized and may be invited to speak with Dover students and/or staff; however, this is not a requirement for selection. If a nominated individual is not chosen in the first year, their nomination will be kept on file for five years for consideration. Please note that the Dover Area School District does not accept self-nominations. Each chosen alumnus must submit a satisfactory photo for district use.
