Congratulations to Grant Recipients: Scott Goode and John McDonald
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Scott Goode and John McDonald, Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers at our High School and Middle School, respectively, received a check in support of the York County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (YCPASR) Educational Grant. This exciting initiative reflects our commitment to creativity, sustainability, and student learning at every level.
Our middle and high school woodshop classes regularly produce small wood scraps as part of their everyday projects. Rather than discarding this material, our students will be putting it to good use by crafting handmade building blocks for our elementary school classrooms. This effort not only reduces waste from materials our district has already invested in, but it also gives older students a meaningful and creative outlet as they design and shape the blocks themselves.
This project connects students across grade levels, benefits our youngest learners, and makes the most of the resources we already have. Our district is grateful to the York County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees for their generous support in making this possible, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this initiative has on our students and classrooms.
