Honoring Our Heroes at Weigelstown Elementary

Today, our fourth- and fifth-grade students hosted a special Veterans Day program at Weiglestown Elementary School to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

The ceremony included:

• A welcome address and the National Anthem performed by our school chorus
• Patriotic poetry readings by students
• A meaningful flag planting ceremony recognizing veteran guests
• The Pledge of Allegiance
• Handmade thank you cards presented to our veterans
• A closing poem of gratitude

We are so proud of our students for taking the time to show their appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. To all veterans: Thank you for your service.
