Welcome Donna Showalter!

The DHASAA Board would like to welcome Donna Showalter to our board.

Donna Showalter and her nine siblings were born and raised in Dover Township. She attended first grade at Weiglestown Elementary and completed her remaining school years at Dover Elementary and Dover Area High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. She completed 2 years of higher education in the Washington, D.C. area at the Northern Virginia Community College and Averett University, where her focus was on Computer Science and Business.

Miss Showalter was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) for 33 years and a few smaller companies that supported the Intelligence and Military sectors of the Federal Government. During her career as a Senior Systems Staff Engineer, she felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to work (and play) in other areas: Sunnyvale, Marina Del Rey (California), New Orleans (Louisiana), and Bavaria (Germany).

Upon her retirement in 2015, Donna returned home to the Dover area. She resides in East York with her five cats – PawLee, CharLee, Lady Becksea, Tiny Tim, and Miss Alley.

Miss Showalter joined the DAHSAA in November 2024.
