Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs) in the Event of School Closures

The Pennsylvania Department of Education permits public schools to utilize up to five Flexible Instruction Days (FIDs) in the event of school closures. DASD has already used three of these days, and with winter still ongoing, there is a possibility that the remaining two days may be needed. Should we exceed the five allotted FID days, we will begin using our designated snow days starting April 21, 2025. Any additional missed days beyond that will be made up at the end of the school year, beginning June 2.

Please note: Graduation will take place on May 31, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the High School Stadium, regardless of any closures. The graduation date will not be adjusted.
