January 19: Flexible Instructional Day

Based on the forecast, the Dover Area School District is instituting a remote learning day for tomorrow, Friday, January 19.  The flexible instructional day (FID), instead of a “traditional snow day” at this time will allow learning to continue, and the day will not have to be made up later in the school year. All activities are canceled for Friday and Saturday, as well.

With tomorrow being a flexible instruction day, please keep these items in mind:

• Follow the directions your child(ren)'s teacher(s) provide in Schoology or SeeSaw. 
• Elementary morning meeting begins at 9:00am.
• Middle School students should follow their normal schedule and join the Google Meet meetings for each period. Attendance will be taken.
• High School students have a scheduled day off of school. 
• Students must complete all assigned work in their class’s Learning Management System (See-Saw or Schoology).
• Students will be marked present unless they do not complete any assignments.
• If your child experiences a technology issue on this day, please contact our phone tech support at 717-292-3671, press 9, and follow the prompts during the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
