Provide students with knowledge, experience, and decision making skills to enhance their college and career readiness.
Welcome to the Dover Academy of Career Technical Education! We are housed within the walls of Dover Area High School and are proud to align current course offerings with newly created college and career Pathways. These Pathways will enhance the opportunities currently available here and prepare our students for the highly technical 21st century workplace.
There are 5 Pathways: Business Management Administration, Arts, Audio/Visual Technology Communications, Agriculture Natural Resources, Information Technology and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). Programs in each Pathway are called Program of Study and are categorized by CIP (Classification of Instructional Programs) Codes. The purpose of the Classification of Instructional Programs is to provide a system that supports accurate tracking, assessment, and reporting of programs of study and program completions activity. CIP was developed by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) in 1980.
